Before Octric, we had a UK Semiconductor manufacturing facility with history, one that had changed hands while preserving personnel and expertise since being opened by the Queen in 1991.

We needed a name that reflected their technical expertise and their commitment to innovation. It’s a dynamic, forward-looking company that defines precision, performance and innovation.

 
 
 

Using Pangaea’s proprietary naming strategy, we identified values to, guide the naming process. After rigorous ideation and domain selection, “Octric” was chosen for its succinct tone and alignment with the brand’s identity as a cutting-edge partner for semiconductors and leader in S/M volume production.

Octric's transformation reflects its ability to honour the past while embracing the future. Recognised by the Ministry of Defence as a cornerstone of UK semiconductor innovation, the facility has been revitalised to secure its legacy and position Octric to lead in industries where precision and reliability are non-negotiable. By blending decades of expertise with future-thinking, Octric is now primed to deliver bespoke solutions for defence, aerospace, and beyond.

 
 

We developed a flexible graphical system to reflect the precision and technical expertise that make up Octric’s semiconductors.

At the centre of the brand is the wafer device – symbolising the layers of expert precision and rigorous quality. This is paired with the gradient energy, which represents the connective energy that powers Octric’s semiconductors.

The ‘O’ Icon is paired with a bespoke Octric Wordmark and an extensive toolkit that is reflective of Octric’s positioning as a foundry for the next frontier.
